I have just read bits and pieces of the OPC report so I do not want to be too quick in my estimation of these theologians work. But it just struck me that they are not really engaging in serious exegetical biblical criticism of Wright and Dunn, instead they operate from what can be called a a “creed fundamentalism perspective”. It is not the Scriptures but rather the Westminister confession that is the true yardstick of correct biblical teaching. The other reflection I had is that they are stuck in some kind of verse quotation model where they mix sentences and versers from Wright, Dunn and the Bible in a confusing manner. They seem to have made up their minds even before they read Wright and Dunn.
