A Trinitarian lady speaks about complementarian preachers
I received an interesting phone call this afternoon. A lady opened our conversation by stating that “most pastors in our town don’t support women in the ministry”. I chuckled and replied, “So, how about that, what else is new?” I suppose Amy Carmichael or Mother Teresa would have received the same kind of chilly response from our local pastors.

I think the deeper problem here is a false lay-clergy dichotomy. Every Christian should be in ministry. The complementarian view says that women shouldn’t be elders, but that doesn’t mean women shouldn’t be engaging in ministry. This question simply has nothing to do with complementarianism.
